I’ve been married to my dear wife Barbara for 50 years. We have two grown sons, and two adopted grandsons, Jim, age 16, and Billy, age 11. Our life centers around our family, and thus we currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I retired from the Air Force Reserve after 26 years in 1993, and retired from Air Force civil service with 34 years of service in 2000. Following retirement, I worked an additional 7 years for General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems before finally leaving the workforce. My hobbies include working around the house, exercising our Labradoodle, Shadow, travel, and photography. My photo equipment includes a Nikon D500 camera, several Nikon lenses, Nikon speed lights, a MeFotto tripod, studio lights, backdrops and assorted filters. I use Adobe Photoshop CC for post processing and ProShow Producer software for producing slide shows (mostly about travel) set to music.
We have always enjoyed travel to new places both near and far. We enjoy the experience of making new friends, seeing new sights, learning about different cultures, and participating in new adventures. As we enter our 7th decade in life, I decided to step into the realm of social media and share some of our adventures and experiences through the media of digital photography and written word – my very own blog! I try to add to my photographic knowledge and skills every week, and I hope that as I take this journey my blogging skills will improve as well.
